In the summer, Tippit PTA was awarded a $5,000 grant designated for COVID relief in the area of Social Emotional/Mental Health Support. We are excited to announce that with a partnership with ASAP, The Georgetown Project and the City of Georgetown, we will be offering students throughout the school year an opportunity to participate in a 4 week adventure program. The students will attend in groups of 11 and will experience activities such as canoeing, ropes, caving, obstacle courses and much more. The PTA Board wanted to provide an experience that brought connection, helped facilitate peer relationships, took kids off the computers and fostered positive self-esteem. This program is described as transformational. We are excited to get the first group of students started soon!
